What do i need to do to get recruited from a D1 school playing at a D3

school. I am going to be a

freshman this year at a D3 school and i will be looking to transfer what do i

need to do in order to

have programs that i would like to play for be recrutiting me. When i was in

highschool i was a victum

of politics. I did everything my hea coach told me. Summer workouts, Sprints,

extra taining and he

even told me i was going to be a captain. But he never named me it and he

never gave me an

oppurtunity. Everyone around me knew i was wworthy to lead the team. My

carries on the year was

the least but i still had the most rushing yards but he never even cared and

neglected to allow me to

run the ball. I am hoping tha when i go to school this fall i can do very well

and that i can get

recruited be D1 programs. I know its not a shot in the dark i just dont want to

make the mistakes i

made before. My coach didnt even bother to get me recruited i did it on my

own. So any help would

be great please. IS the anything i can do to get D1 programs knocking at my

door in regards to a

stellar freshman season. Its been a dream to play D1 and i will not let this

stop me...PLease help

  1. g4696,  Your dream is to play D1 ball. My question to you would be why? Is it the 70,000 fans, better quality ball, chance to play in the pros or the prestege?

I have three sons that play ball. One just finished D1, one in D3 and one getting ready to chose. *The most important thing I tell my sons is choose for your education. Football will give you great memories, but an education will give you a lifetime of fullfilling your dreams.

You think that you seen politics in highschool? Hold on to your seat if you don't think you'll see it in college. I know many D1 players that have faced politics in college ball.

You'll never achieve great things if you look back and blame others for your short comings. You should cherish each and every moment that your playing at your D3 school. Only 5.8% of high school players go on to play college ball. It's about playing the game, not wishing the game that you could be playing.

I hope the words help you in your future...

  2. youre at d3 for a reason...dont blame anyone
