How to transfer from pound to dollar?

i have a question, let's say you're us citizen and you go to England to work, and the money you make, how to gonna send money to your family in US in dollar and when you're going bank, how you gonna carry the money in dollar with you ? do we have any kind of bank that when you deposit the POUNDS in and withdraw in u.s in DOLLAR ? thank you

First, look into banks that are both in England and the US to find the best deal.  Tell them what you need to do and see what they have to offer.  The bank is the best place to ask this question.
