  2. well first, you need to switch your ipod to manual sync. Then you can plug it in. It will ask you if you would like to transfer new songs on your ipod into your library again. well it should anyway. well, if it doesn't then switch your sync options to manual. hook up your ipod, then click and drag the music tab underneath you ipod into the library tab,

this should work and if something goes wrong imsooooo sorree

hope this helps and good luck!!!

  3. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

  4. I just finished transferring my iPod library from my computer to my new laptop...

First go into iTunes, click Edit on the menu and go to Preferences. Then go to the Syncing tab and check beside "Disable automatic synching for all iPods and iPhones". This will make sure your iPod doesn't get erased in the process.

Next you want to go to download.com and search & download a program called iDump. Install this and if your iPod is plugged into your computer, all the music files will automatically show up. Right click and "Select all", then copy all your music files into a new folder on your computer.

Once this is done open iTunes and put it beside the folder you just copied all the music to. Go into this folder and press CTRL+A again to select all the music, then click & drag this into iTunes.

If you get a message from iTunes saying something like "iPod can only be associated with one version of iTunes at a time", DO NOT click "Erase and  Synch" until all of your music files are already in iTunes. You will have to do this once all your music is back in iTunes though.
