  1. You could convert your home movies to CD with your computer using a DVD Creator software.

I recommend Cucusoft DVD/VCD/SVCD Creator Pro

You could free download and try it here

  2. you can,t... you need to transfer video to a DVD..not a CD..& if you changed your answers setting to allow IM i would probably help you..

  3. You can "transfer" the video files onto a CD--as a file is a file (data file, that is). However, another computer (Windows or Mac) will interpret it as that--a data disk.

You will need a program to burn those files onto a blank disk. Windows XP has built in basic programs to do that. Vista does, too.

However, if you want to burn the video files onto a DVD disk that can be played like a DVD video--then you'd need a program that is made to do that. Vista Ultimate has a basic one built in. Ulead and Corel make programs like that.

  4. If you want to burn your file tonight using freeware. Download Img burn, free program from cnet.com, to burn your avi file as  ISO file on your hard drive.  2ND you need to download burnAware free edition from cnet.com.  This will burn your ISO file to  DVD. This should be your best option for doing it free.
