I have printer Canon Pixma MP520 and I want to print a photo that I'm going to translate on a T-Shirt. What kind of paper should I use? I need to know all procedure from printing to translating to T, so, can anyone post some link or explanation about this? Thanks in advance.

  2. Hey-

Go to any arts and crafts store -- Michael's, hobby lobby, a fabric store -- and ask where the Iron-On paper is. It is typically around $12-20 per pack of about 5-10 sheets, depending on the brand and package. You can use any printer.

Remember, once you choose an image, you have to invert it. This includes text. I made a shirt once, and forgot to invert the writing and I had to re-do the print again. Don't forgot, if you don't have an iron, now's the time to buy one. Just read the back of the package for the instructions and you should be good to go. Also, make sure you have the right kind of shirt. Some Iron-On's only work with a specific material. I.E. Cotton

  3. just remember that whatever you print on transfer paper will be mirrored when you put it on the shirt!

  4. Look for Iron-On Transfer paper.  It shouldn't be expensive, but this would be your best bet.  You can use your typical photo printer, but the better quality printer, the better quality image to transfer.  It can take some practice with the iron, but if you get it right, the job looks professional!

Let me know if this helps!

  5. Hi Hare

Go to any arts and supply store and ask for transfer paper. That paper works on all printers , even a deskjet.

Now print your favorite pic on it and be careful when you iron it on the T-shirt.

Use a cloth on the printed sheet so that it doesn't get too hot. Secondly, it will tend to make the ink penetrate the t-shirt better.
