How to transmit one bit CMOS logic wirelessly?

I need to transmit the logic about 40 feet and don't want to use wires, but energy expenditure isn't much of a concern, what would be the easiest, most cost effective way to do it? I was thinking maybe some kind of radio transmission, but it seems like one bit CMOS would get drowned out by noise pollution. Thanks for the help!

one bit, use a light like a flashlight. Turn it on and off, that's one bit. 40' should be no problem.

You didn't say anything about a receiver, is that part of it?
