How to transport a mini 5 hours?

Question

i need to transport a 1972 mini from bridlington to conwy(north wales,5 hours) what would be the cheapest way of doing this?? the car is mot ed,ut hasnt been used for 6 months and is in working order.do i run the risk of driving it?? any help appreciated,thanks

Not without insurance and tax!  Or you will be banned, the car can be impounded and crushed!

    If you want to drive it, service it fully before setting off.  Oil, filter, air-filter, HT leads and plugs, rotor arm, points and distributor cap and condensor!

drive it, even if just for te experience.prob cheapest way. can always join the AA  but if you break down they would be stumped, they cant plug a laptop into it to find out whats wrong!!!

Join up with one of the roadside rescue firms ( AA , RAC etc ) and enjoy the adventure
