The government will handle. We have tons of sand in Tampines and we will be using quarry in Pulau Ubin.

Yup, to a certain extend Uunga is rite but for what reason are you asking bcoz I do know of people in this industry. Anyway, this field is currently controlled by the government. Cheers

Via water transport. Because Malaysia is not selling a single grain for strategic interests. Not via barges because indonesia came to the same conclusion. Soil and sand are used to enlarge Singapore border, this will cause new competitive threat when Singapore can accomodate 6 million residents. The only means is via bulk sea carrier to carry sand from Vietnam, China o Burma.  The other thing is to require every resident returning to Singapore to bring a kilo of sand. Like sheeps, they will do when ordered to.
