I will be in Jamaica for 10 days and I was hoping to visit a friend in PR since I'm close by, but I'm having a hard time finding a direct and not so expensive flight. Is there any direct flights or ferries between Jamaica and PR?

  1. I don't think ther are any direct flights..but sometimes there are charters and such..

To give u an idea of the distance puerto rico is at 66 longitude and Jamaica starts at (east) 76 longitude. That seems like over 700 miles!.I just remembered that off the top of my head it may not be 100% accurate - check wikipedia.

  2. They are NOT close at all really. There no practical direct flights. NO ferries. You are talking about an international journey between two countries more than 600 miles a part. Its easier to get to miami than to get to puerto rico.

  3. I was wondering the same thing, but I found out the only way was to go up to florida then Puerto Rico, or maybe go to one of those islands then forward on to Puerto Rico.
