How to travel from Nafplio to Patras?

I want to know how I will go about travelling from Nafplio to Patras. I was planning on taking the bus but as far as I know there is no direct service. I plan on reaching Nafplio from Athens so I would rather not 'double back' but if this is the best way, then I'll accept that!

You can change at Corinth. Ask at the KTEL bus station in Nafplio for the time tables and the correspondences. They will be able to help you.

I believe you can get the train or if there is no direct route bus wise - you will have to get another bus (or train) at Corinth - this is not doubling back as it's the only sensible way to get to Patra.
