  1. Kashid beach is between Alibaug and Murud-Janjira.

There are no direct buses from Pune.

    You can hire a car.

There are few different routes reaching Kashid beach. You can travel on expressway till Panvel then take a diversion to Mumbai-Goa highway. Pen and Wadkhal are wellknown points after Panvel. At Wadkhal leave the Goa highway ( left turn will keep you on Goa highway and straight way will take you to Alibaug.) From Alibaug switch to Murud road. Midday between Murud and Alibaug is Kashid. This is fairly easy route and you can get utility services enroute.

Other way is to travel via Bhira Ghat to reach Kolad on Mumbai-Goa highway. From Kolad go to Rohe. From thereon a road goes to Revdanda ( Birla Temple is a famous landmark on this rotue). A little bit ahead from the temple is hugh bridge on Revdanda creek. Do not cross it but keep on straight road. After few kilometers you will be at Kashid. The route is scenic and green as well as less crowded but then not getting utility services might be a big problem in monsoons.

Kashid is a big and beautiful beach but remeber this is monsoon season. Seas are very turbulent and stormy. Try avoiding frolicking in seas for long duration and keep as near as to the shore as possible. DANGER is the keyword.

    Happy journey.

  2. For Kashid beach from Pune take a bus from Shivajinagar S.T. terminal. Daily direct service at 6 a.m. goes to Murud (Janjira) which goes through Alibaug - Kashid - Murud. Get down at Kashid 15 kilometers before Murud. Buy ticket for Kashid as it is an official stop. It is an cheaper option even if you have four pass anger but it is 210 kilometers and the trip takes 5 hours.

If you take Taxi it is exact 175 kilometers through Paud - Tamhini Ghat - Kolad - Roha - Kashid It will take 3 hour 30 minutes to reach Kashid beach.

  3. Kashid is hardly 4 hours drive from Pune. People mostly take their own cars or bikes to go there.

No idea about the buses. Contact your local ST (state transport) station to check if they have any buses.

Hiring a car is a better option.
