  1. Bicarbonate of soda will neutralize the acidic sting, just rub into where you got stung.

P.S: For wasp sting use vinegar for alkaline sting

  2. The stinger is probably still inside.

Make up some warm oatmeal and use it as a pultice, it will remove the stinger and start to heal.

  3. I have been keeping honey bees for several years now and i feel pretty confident about answering this one. Some form of benidryl or antihistamine will help with the itching and possibly the swelling if taken soon after the sting. You will receive lots of input about thinngs like meat tendorizer, tobacco, baking soda an other topical treatments. they are all just wives tales. I have tried and none seam to work. the venom of a wasp is different than that of a honey bee. a honey bees venom is an irritant used to defend the hive while a wasps venom is used to kill its prey. My best advice is to not rub or scratch and let it run its course. it is normal for it to be sore for a coupel of days

I have had stings itch and be sore for as little as a few minuts or as long as a weak

  4. Yes, I have the perfect remedy that I use whenever anyone in my family is stung by bees. It's called Boil Ease, and it not only draws the stinger out, but it eases the pain and itch of the sting.

  5. First of all you need to have someone check your legs to make certain the stings are no longer in there. Bees dump their stings and these then continue to pump venom into the skin, even once the bee has been brushed off. So check there isn't a black sting still there.

Secondly, you need to stop the itching and soreness. So you should take an oral anti histamine such as Piriton and dab the area with calamine to cool and relieve itching or better still a hydrocortisone ointment or cream.

Taking Ibuprofen will help with the pain and also relieve the swelling and redness.

Raise the leg up and relax it for a while.

If you have none of the above, a paste made of water and baking soda is suppose to help too.

    Good Luck
