I'm a fairly serious runner - I go anywhere from four to eight miles per day - every day. I've been running like this for some months now (with the same shoes), but have recently developed two big, fat blisters. The blisters are right on the tip of my left and right second toes - making treating them with moleskin impossible. I've been sealing them with the Band-Aid super blister adhesive waterproof pad thingies but nothing seems to be helping. What can I do? I'm sure it's not my shoes (maybe my toes rub on the descents but I run flat mostly). All suggestions are appreciated!

  1. The only other threatment besides moleskin is the old style cotton tape. That tape can be torn in long, even strips and then cut to fit.

With this tape you have to put several(lots of) layers. The idea is to create a stiff enough barrier that it can't move. When you can stop the movement between the layers of tissue then healing can begin.
