  1. Pay attention to them, even if they don't need it.

  2. Always speak to the when they walk in the door, in your dept. or when you walk by them. (also a theft deterrent) Treat them as if they were a guest in your home and always smile....

  3. Treat them the way you'd want to be treated

    Be friendly,but not too familiar

Always remember...they're the ones paying your salary,  without them the company would close it's doors

  4. I would treat anyone, and in this case, a customer, the way that I would want to be treated.

I would always be pleasant, have a smile on my face, if greeting the customer in person, and be polite.

That's how I was taught, and I carry that into my workplace.

There's an old saying..."kill em' with kindness".

  5. Treat them the way you would like to be treated and you cannot go wrong.

The customer is always right so if you do not agree move on and make suggestions.

I believe that people respond to the way we treat them so treat them with respect even if you do not like their looks, you never know who they are behind the face and clothing.

    Good Luck!

  6. In my business, I've found that listening to them is the most important thing. Find out exactly what they are needing from you and your business. A happy customer tells on average, 4-8 people, which is great; an unhappy customer tells 30. It is inevitable in business to please everyone all of the time, but if you listen to a complaint & correct a problem, you will have customers for life!
