  1. cocoa butter

  2. Yes, Aloe Vera is very good for soothing the skin, but Vitamin E taken externally can help to heal the tissues.

One thing you can do is to take a 400 IU softgel of Vitamin E, then CAREFULLY poke a hole in it. Squeeze out the oil and spread it out evenly onto the affected area. If you have more than one area that's been affected, spread out the amount that's used evenly to each area, as too much vitamin E can build up to toxic levels in your body.

Also, if you would like more benefits, there are some supplements you could take internally to help the health of your skin. Some of the most popular ones are Biotin, Silica (commonly from Horsetail), Squalene, Hyaluronic Acid, MSM, L-Cysteine, Collagen, and most antioxidants.

    Good luck!

  3. Check out some homemade face masks from here:

  4. The posters are answering your question as if the scars are fresh and still forming and not healed yet.  You didn't say that this is the case.  If you have scars that have already healed, putting aloe on it or whatever is not going to change a thing, so sorry to say.  If you have a fresh wound that is healing, applying Vitamin E can help, or applying cocoabutter to stretchmarks as they are happening may help.  But you can't physically change the structure of scar tissue once the wound has healed, by putting something topically on it.  Unless it's something caustic that eats away the tissue...and any claims otherwise are false.  To remove scars is not easy...even for a plastic surgeon.  So hopeffully you have a scar happeneing that is in the healing stage! :)

  5. Also look for salves/oils with calendula, comfrey and/or lavender.

However comfrey should not be applied to open wounds
