  1. I believe you are looking for the DMM method.

    Here's a link to a good tutorial. http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/gene...

You will have to find the target output voltage for this to work. Find the actual RMS output wattage and the final ohm load of the circuit.(speakers)

Plug the numbers in here. http://www.caraudio911.com/tutorials/Gai...

  2. The side where the RCA cables plug into the amp, there will be k***s that you need a small phillips head scre driver for. There will be a gain, low pass filter, hi pass filter, and a bass boost. The bass boost should always be at the lowest point possibly, off. Bass boost will kill those speakers quickly. Set the hi pass and low pass filters to desired level. Then set the gain, use a voltmeter to set the gain to the same voltage as the preamp out is, usually around 2 volts. If you have no voltmeter then turn up the gain until you hear any distorted sound from the speakers, then slowly turn the gain down until the distorted sound is gone. At this point you may want to adjust the low pass and hi pass filters a little bit more.
