How to turn Wireless on Linksys router?

I have a Wireless-G Linksys router for few days now. Since I installed it Wireless LED was on only twice and did not work after the power was off. "Wireless SSID Broadcast" is "Enabled" and I have tried almost all "Wireless Channels" and now I'm on "6 - 2.437 GHz" and my "Wireless Network Mode" is "Mixed". How can I fix it? Is there a mistake in the configuration causing this problem? It's driving me crazy, I hope I can find a solution here. Thanks in Advance!

  1. You need to review the security settings of the Linksys router.  Pay close attention to the security (WEP or WPA/WPA2 with TKIP or AES encryption).  You will also need the SSID name that you created for your home wireless network.

On your pc/laptop you need to create or modify an existing profile to match the settings in the router.  The channels have to match on both ends as well as the security information.

If that doesn't get you going then review this document from Linksys.
