im cheap. Is there a way to use my cordless phone and base station as a wireless router.

  2. 1- while 2.4 Ghz phones use the same frequency that 802.11B/G use you can not convert the phone into a router, it does not handle DHCP, it can not assign LAN IP addresses, it can not accuire a WAN IP address... etc.... they are diffrent technologies using the same radio frequencies...

    2- unless it is for a PDA or laptop why would you want wireless anyway.. . so someone can hack into your internet access, or hack your LAN? you can not stream HD video with wifi, so your better off running a hardwired LAN...

    Try craigslist, sometimes people give them away when they update.  Depends on the city you live in.

    But wireless routers can be found in the $50 price range.
