How to turn off Progressive Scan on my HDD/DVD recorder?

I got a HDD/DVD recorder. It was connected with my HDTV and a satellite TV decoder. But I was accidentally turn on the progressive scan and I cant see anything now. It says NO SIGNAL .How to turn off Progressive Scan on my HDD/DVD recorder ? HELP ? I cant get back into the SETUP menu in my HDD/DVD player.

  1. Disconnect the component cables.

    Use one of them to connect composite out (yellow) to Composite input in the TV. This should allow you to see the setup menu and change to non progressive. Then go back to using component.
