How to turn off the beeping on the toyota corolla xrs?

when reverse there is this annoying beep how can you turn it off? its a manual car (stick) so the reverse is the first gear to the top left. please help me. thankyou.

i would not cut anything .. I recommend asking the dealer if this feature can be shut off .. cut wires voids warranties and that's not a good idea .

Set the handbrake, turn on the ignition withthe engine off, shift trans in reverse and start looking around the underside of the back end until you locate the reverse alarm. When you find it, cut the wire going to it and wrap the car side of the wire with electrical tape.
