How to turn off the microphone or phone connection?

Most likely their is a bad set up file for yahoo messenger, Uninstall yahoo messenger then reinstall it just don't add the phone part for pc to pc calling. As far as the microphone that won't come on unless you click button hands free to listen or chat. If reinstalling messenger doesn't solve your problem then you have more of a pc problem and need to resolve that before installing messenger again.
