How to turn or steer a skateboard?

Question

i just bought a new skateboard yesterday..i can ride on it for 5 secs only cuz i have to stop every time because i cant turn that.. i loosed the trucks for speed and when i loose the nuts from which the trucks are attached.. it becomes hard to stand on the board and still i cant turn.. any ideas guys? also tell me the nut loosing thing (im confused) there r total 6 nuts to lose.

You have to shift your weight to turn with out stopping or do a kick turn its easier.

tighten the trucks. you just hafe to brake into the skateboard

and learn to shift your weight  for now just do it manualy by pushing down on the tail and nuging left or right

you lean either left or right or u can do a semi pivot for example like a manual but turn at the same time

There's 8 screws that hold the trucks to the deck(don't loosen those,keep them as tight as possible) , the nuts to loosen for the trucks are right in the middle of truck between the wheels(the big one),just loosen those a lil.as for turning ,just lean when your trucks are loose,if there not loose you can mash down on the tail and use your front foot to steer it.

you lean the way, or shift your weight, if not, step down and turn on the toe of the board
