How to turn the hdmi on in the ps3?

av cable is not plugged in to the ps3 but the hdmi is. The tv goes blank but i know the ps3 is on.

whenyou turn on the PS3 hold down the power button till it beeps, it iwlll go int o defualt dispaly mode, and oyu cna set up the HDMI cable then. jsut hit okay wiht everthing and it shoudl choose the best HD settings for your TV.

When you set it to HDMI and the TV goes blank make sure the HDMI is plugged in and switch to the HDMI input channel [the button on your remote control that says "HDMI"].

Hi,

turn off the Ps3 if its turned on.

And then hold the On/Off button until the 2 "beep" sound. That should reset the display and the Ps3 will say, [ HDMI cable detected ] and press "Yes" and from thee, you could choose the resolution ( 720p, 1080i and 1080p ) depending on what your TV supports.
