How to unfreeze a piston?

hey does any one know how to unfreeze the piston on a kawasaki 60 dirtbike please help?

  1. I have seen it done using some oil for the cylinder walls then use the handle of a hammer then use a mallet.So your rings must have stuck to the cylinder wall I take it.


  2. Not sure about a dirtbike, especially if it's a 2 stroke, but we had an old buick engine years ago that we soaked in Marvel Mystery oil, WD 40, and anything else we could think of. Let it soak overnight or longer, and pound on it with a hammer. Use caution not to make the problem any worse than it already is. We did get that engine to run very nicely, even as bad a shape as it was in.

  3. find out if it has melted the rings or the top of the piston. i myself wouldn';t worry bout saving the piston or cylinnder. you will need new ones of each if you want it run properly ever again.

  4. probly wont unfreeze i have a dirt bike and the piston froze in it coulnt get it unfroze

    and its really hard to unfreeze them

    so you might just have to get a new 1
