How to uninstall antivirous 2008 from computer?

i have no idea to uninstall this antivirous

Go to task list (Ctrl-Alt-Del) and terminate the process.

Remove it from the registry's start list.

Remove the program's folder together with everything in it.

I'm thinking its the one going around thats actually a virus. Use Start/search to find it, cant remember where it was but its name file was just a row of numbers, which you cant delete. Write down where it is and then use selective startup. Start/Run/type in 'msconfig' press Enter. From the General tab select 'Selective Startup' and untick 'Load Startup Items' box.

Restart the PC and you can now erase the file from the place you wrote down earlier. Once done get the msconfig box up again and select 'Normal Startup' click ok and then restart the PC again. Now you must run your anti virus and it will find and kill the remaining hidden virus files.

Well it would help if you tell us what Antivirus you have ...

Generally you can uninstall it in the Programs and Features menu.
