  1. well, when you back down the ramp put the car in park. unhook any hold down straps, check to make sure your plug is in place, inspect the hull and up in the impeller region if possible. put the key in and go back to your car. back the boat into the water but not so that it will float off the trailer, just enough to crank it up. crank up the ski to make sure its working. immediately turn it off. now from here it depends on if you have help. assuming you don't then attach a long line to your ski, detatch where the ski is on the trailer where the crank is.with the line going through your vehicle back your car down and gently slam on the brakes.the ski should have come off the trailer. put car in park and carry the rope that is attached to the ski with you so you can pull the ski to a parking area. park your car, clear the ramp for others then get on the ski and go. if you have help one of you on the ski, the other in the car, you don't need to attach the rope cause someone is on the ski to drive it to a slip. just make sure it cranks before you unload. to re-load slowly drive the ski toward the trailer and hook the crank. simply crank the ski into position and clear the ramp. you can wash, wax and tie down the rest in an out of the way location. if youre in salt water you'll need to flush the engine. fortunately for me I have no clue how thats done cause I'm not near salt water.
