  1. You can use WorldUnlock(http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Wo...

  2. If it is yours, take to where you bough it, they should be able to unlock it for you.

  3. Don't know where you live, but I live in Torrance, California, and there's a store on Pacific Coast Hwy. where they will unlock any cell phone for $5.00.

If you don't happen to be in southern California, you can use a search engine to find places that will unlock phones.

The problem with using the codes you get from a website is that they often don't work, and if you use a wrong code more than a couple of times on some phones, the phone will lock up so that you can't try any more unlock codes.  I suspect the manufacturers change the unlock codes after every so many phones are made.

The whole idea of locking phones, of course, is so that you can't use a phone from one company at another wireless company.

There are two major wireless technologies in use: GSM and CDMA.  A GSM phone can't be made to work with a company that uses CDMA technology, and vice versa.  AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM.  Verizon and Sprint use CDMA.

  4. go to your providers neighborhood store, and just be nice to the sales clerk....( perhaps give him a couple of bucks) and he will do it for you!!

if you don't have an open contract, call the provider.....they will tell you ( have to) the code!!!
