How to unplug the alarm system on a 1994 jeep grand cherokee

laredo V8. im having trouble with the alarm system it goes off about 20 x a day or whenever i park i know that its under the hood but where is it at ? what color are the plugs ?

  1. i would say just start unplugging things. but that might turn out bad. lol

    dont steal too many cars =)


  2. just look under the hood for a siren/horn looking thin and unplug that. it wont disable your dor locks i you do have them. pulling the computer out will render the keychain pod useless.  

  3. Had a 93. Never got key fobs for it, never even knew it had an alarm system let alone ignition disable. Set itself one day in the Wal-Mart lot.  great fun that was.  Anyway.. the main alarm module is under the dash top above the glove box. I pulled mine out in the parking lot. But you do have to unscrew a few things to get to it. Should be a square box.  Mine actually said alarm control module on it. After that I pulled the overhead console and took care of the remote sensor for the power locks.  Hope this helps
