How to upload a video from my camcorder to sites like Youtube and Stage6?

Question

I went out with the family and recorded the day on a camcorder that takes mini-discs.

What I wanna know is, how do I upload the contents of this mini-disc onto video sharing websites like Youtube or Stage6?

Well I know how to upload it once it is a viewable file on the computer (an .avi file for example) but how do you make the file into something like a .avi?

Appriciate the help.

I would suggest Windown Movie Maker, just transfer it there it takes any readable video file, I think........

You can also add in subtitles and form the clips together, its also very eas, oh yeah and import music

What you need to do is take the uploaded file, and use some sort of movie editor. Which can even be windows movie maker (free). From there you import your video to your editing program and do what you need to. Than you need to render it by going to

-File

       render

Rendering converts the file into a sharable one, therefore allowing you to upload the content to video websites. I recommend rendering it to .wmv.
