  1. Hi my friend.

veg files are not Video files they are saved project files. I'm sure when you saved your project (instead of rendering it) and you sow that Sony Vegas did it in a few seconds you said hey that's a really perfect software, movie maker made me to wait a lot for saving a movie but i have to say Sony Vegas rendering take much more than Movie Maker. to render a video go to file>render and choose WMV(best for sending to youtube) and choose a ready template that is match with you project medias and hit OK. for more information about rendering ask a question about how to render a video with Sony Vegas.

    bye.

  2. Goto File menu, choose Render As..

Set "Save as Type" to Windows Media Video (.wmv)

Set Template to 512 Kbps for low quality(*) or 3 Mbps for high quality.

Choose a file name and click Save.

A rendering dialog will appear. When it's done, the dialog box will remain on screen. Choose Open Folder and go directly into the folder where your video is saved. Upload the file and your done.

    * Youtube has 2 playback formats. 320x240 (default) and 640x480 (High). If you prefer to upload a High quality video, a "Watch in high quality" button will appear below the video screen allowing the viewers to choose playback quality.
