How to upload your FIFA 12 goals for ‘Goals of the Week’
Electronic Arts have released a guide on how FIFA 12 players can upload and share their goals with the world. While this is nothing new, as previous FIFA titles have had the same feature implemented in them as well, it is worth a refresher course.
The feature is set to allow gamers to share their goals with the entire FIFA community, with the very best of the lot chosen on a weekly basis and thrown into EA Sports ‘Goals of the Week’ feature.
For those who do not know, the ‘Goals of the Week’ is a weekly video released by Electronic Arts and uploaded on YouTube, as well as their own site, which gives everyone who managed to score that special goal their five seconds of fame.
First things first, the player will need to score a goal. While this was obvious, one can never be too sure with the IQ of the average gamer. In order to upload the goal, players will need to wait until the end of the match for the menu to come on screen.
From here, gamers will need to select the ‘Match Highlights’ option, which can be found between the ‘Match Events’ and ‘Player Ratings’ options, respectively.
Upon selecting the ‘Match Highlights’ option, all major incidents of the match will be listed, along with the player involved and the time the incident took place e.g. 90’ S. Gerrard (LIV) – GOAL
Gamers can scroll through the list until they find the goal they deem worthy to be included in the Goal of the Week section and select it. Here, FIFA 12 will encourage the ‘director’ side of every gamer to come out, as players can choose the ‘camera angles, slow motion and options’ until they find the flow which does their goal justice.
Once that is done and production is set, gamers need only press the upload button ‘Y’ or ‘triangle’, depending on the console and the goal will be uploaded to their EA Sports Football.com account, provided of course that gamers already have an account on the site.
After the video finishes uploading, the user can then log into EA Sports Football.com and can find the goal in the ‘My Videos/My Media’ section, where a link will be provided.
The goals which make the ‘Goals of the Week’ will be selected by EA themselves and gamers can only hope that their effort was special enough. The link itself can be posted on any website where there is a comment option, thus making sharing one’s ‘back of the net finding’ exploits available for the world to witness and gawk with eyebrows raised at.
