How to use Task Manager to pause/freeze a running program?

Question

I press Tab+Alt to escape a running game into my normal desktop, but the game is still running(the movie inside), can I use Task Manager (or any other means) to pause or freeze it?(not ending it)

Hello,

It's a property of a game that it will keep on running even when it loses the focus. You can't change it!

Additionally, Task Manager doesn't have this capability, I think.
