How to use a 120V Wii console in a 240V country.?

How can i use a US version of Wii (120V version) in Sri Lanka, in which the standard voltage is 240V for all electrical equipment?

Using a power converter will cut down the voltage from 240V to 120V.

     I have also tried it myself. I took a gamecube from Canada to India, played it using a power converter. Sadly my converter used to heat up pretty fast ( within one hour ), so I had to turn off my game.
