How to use a can opener?

I'm at my dad's and he doesn't have an electric one... How do you use a 'Kitchen Aid' brand one? HELP!!! I want Spaghetti-O's!

well, open it up and look at the two circles, those would be the blade that you lay on the top edge of the can, and the grabby thing.  simply bring the handles together with the top circle on the inside lip of the can and the lower circle on the outside.  press together until something gives, you want the circle to pierce the can, then hold the handles together tightly and start turning the handle away from you - keep the can level and basically on the counter to avoid spillage.  the can will rotate as the lid starts cutting open.  when you have gotten around the whole can open the handles and carefully remove the lid.  use a knife or a magnet if you can't dig it out with a nail.

if you get sauce on the blade just give it a bit of a wipe to help prevent rusting and general goo buildup.
