  1. AT&T’s UVerse box has no pass-through.  If your TV has multiple inputs the AT&T installer probably connected your DVD to another set of inputs.  See if your original TV remote has a button called “input” or “TV/Video” or something similar and try switching the inputs around with the DVD player on.  (Keep in mind you will need to switch back to the original setting to watch UVerse tv again.)

If your TV does not have multiple inputs (or the AT&T installer just failed to connect your DVD back up)  it is possible that your DVD player is not connected to your TV.  Look on the back of your DVD player for cables connected to the unit, then see if they are connected to your TV.  If there are no cables connected between the DVD and TV,  then you have to swap the cables to watch your DVD player.  If you do this make careful note of where the cables from the UVerse are plugged into.  (or better yet, label them with stickers or tape before you ever unplug any of them).  Swapping cables is a headache, ask a friend or a person at an electronics store (like Radio Shack, or BestBuy) for help in setting up a switcher box.

Good luck and happy TV viewing!
