I know how to use a framing squat to get pitch but It has been over 10 years since i used a triangle... Basically I forget what line I should be reading the pitch from , is it the line that has the word "common" pointing at it or the line that has "top cut"??? or simply point me to a web page tat shows how to read this triangle, I looked but found nothing worth while with a good decription...

Thanks

Jo

  1. common top cut   not hip also u can buy a new stanley quick square an it will come with a "pocket reference book"

  2. Common. A good way to make sure you are using the right line, and the right side of the square to mark, is to look at the 45 degree angle, which is a 12/12 pitch.
