You can usually find many microwave safe containers and dishes in your local retail stores.  As far as what you could cook in the microwave, there are many frozen food dishes/kits at stores such as Wal-Mart that makes it easy to prepare food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert right from a microwave. Do some online research or check out books at library for some more hints.
