Question:

How to use a petrol pump?

i've used one before but now i have a car its different.. when you put the nozzle into the tank do u put it all the way in and does it lock or something? How do you now if your cars full.. does it stop by itself?

any help will be good!

  1. Best to put the nozzle in as far as you can - to reduce the chance of spillage. It doesn't lock into anything.

    The pump stops when in senses pressure indicating that the tank is getting full. You might as well stop there. You can continue adding more, slowly, but that risks some spillage.


  2. put nozzle in until it goes no further. pump should automatically stop when ur tank is full.
