How to use a photo instead of avatar?

hey i was wondering how to use a real photo of me instead of an avatar? how to upload it & how to set it as my picture so when i sign on its there. any help would be appriciated thank you!

Don't do it. It isn't safe to put a pic online, but if you insist, you click the My Profile button in the top righthand corner of the screen, and click edit my info, and then click use my yahoo! 360 picture, and then you just make your 360 picture what you want. =)

Go to your profile, click "edit my info", set up a 360° page, load up a pic (it has to be a .jpg, preferrably 48x48 pixels), mark "set as primary", save it and you're done! If you don't know how to resize a pic, don't worry, Yahoo will still show it in an appropiate size.

Note: Yahoo plans on merging the Yahoo profile, the 360° pages and Mash into just one service this spring and they announced that some features on the profiles and the 360° pages may not work properly sometimes.

if you are wanting your own pictures as your avatar then:

for a photo avatar:

█ make a yahoo 360 here: http://360.yahoo.com/

█ save the picture you want to use to your computer

█ convert it to JPG if it isn't already

█ go to your yahoo 360

█ my page

█ edit personal photos

█ upload the photo

█ click 'set as primary' on the one you want to use

█ click 'save' to finish

now:

█ go to your yahoo answers profile

█ click edit my info

█ then scroll down till you see the picture settings, click use my 360 photo

█ click 'preview'

█ click save

now you have your own picture avatar

If you want a photo/picture as your avatar you need to make a yahoo 360 page. http://360.yahoo.com/login.html?.done=ht...

click "my page" then "edit personal photo" then browse upload and save Set as primary. and save. go to your avatar choose your avatar>preview>OK. then go to yahoo>my profile>edit my info then click use my 360 picture>preview then OK.
