How to use a spray gun?

I have a new compressor, new spray gun. Have air from gun when I press gun trigger but no paint? The gun came with no instructions.

since you have done what the first poster said,  then you have suction feed  and pressure feed,  if you have suction feed, check and make sure the small hole in the lid in the chamber isnt clogged,  if you have pressure feed,  find the adjustment for chamber pressure and make sure it has pressure.  the tip of your nozzle could also be clogged letting out air and no paint.these are very small holes, with the nozzle off, and you pull the trigger you should get a stream of paint, if you dont the nozzle is clogged, soak it in either water or laquer thinner depending what was last used in the sprayer

You need to adjust the air flow (k**b on handel).First fill pot with water and adjust till you get spray.Then dry and switch to paint and fine tune.

mix the paint with the appropriate thinners so that it runs off the screwdriver (stirrer) with out forming drops.

practice on a large piece of cardboard.

If its to thin there be little colour and run on the cardboard.

if its to thick it will run when you do the second pass.
