a friend needs to get some blood from a willing donor. knives and the like bleed the donor too much or not enough. how can he use a syringe or whatever to get the blood?

  1. I hope your friend knows what he's doing with syringes, it can be dangerous especially without medical supervision.

    Hopefully your friend doesn't end up killing someone with the syringe trying to take blood.


  2. OK this is a strange question... What does he need blood for and why isn't this being done by a medical professional?

  3. Your "friend" had better be very careful as he could be up on a murder charge if he inadvertantly injects air into someone's vein!

  4. Using the syringe is easy.  Just do it.

    Finding an available vein is difficult, and requires training and practice -- that is, if you don't want to hurt you victim.

    Not to mention the serious problems of possible infections, or diseases passed through on the needles.

  5. I am a paramedic. To draw blood you need a syringe with a needle on it to pierce the skin. The insertion site should be cleaned prior to insertion with alcohol. You need to find a vein, not artery (it will have a pulse), easiest is the front of the elbow. Insert needle and draw blood out slowly.
