How to use an itunes gift card

Question

i recently got an ipod and a $20 gift card. I dont know how to use it(the gift card) and would like help and instructions on how to use it without entering credit card details. thanks!

note that itunes gift cards are not available anymore since the shutting down of bill express, so it may not work.

there is a box above the top songs that says quick links.. in that box click redeem and then enter the numbers and letters on ur gift card

go to itunes then on the home screen of the itunes store in the top right hand corner box there is an option to redeem itunes cards click that then it will ask you to enter the code on the back then you are good to go!

Ok here is a list of directions:

1) open up iTunes

2) go to the right of the home page and look for the box entitled "quicklinks" and click on "redeem"

3) look on the back of the gift card for the iTunes code

4) type that code into the box and click "redeem"

5) buy music

on the itunes store page to the left there is a button that says redeem gift card click it scratch the stuff of the back type in the lonnng code and tadaa there you goo.. hope that helps :)

First, on the back of the gift card, you need to scratch off the silvery stuff with a coin. Then go into iTunes, and find the box that says "Quick Links". If you have the current version of iTunes, it will be on the right hand side. Then there should be a link that says "Redeem". Click on that and type in the code, that was on the gift card, the code that was under the silvery stuff that you scratched off. Hope that helps!

I've never used one before, but if you go into the iTunes store, there is a link on the upper right that says Redeem.  Enter your code into the box and click the button that says Redeem.

But I'm not sure that you'd be able to even set up an iTunes account without using a credit or debit card.  I would recommend playing around with it to see if you can get it to work.
