I bought a blue tooth dongle for my pc and got it working on my friends pc thats on XP within 5 mins, but it asks me to insert the disc that came with it on my vista machine!!! even though no disc came with it. It has picked up my phone and installed certain drivers but it needs another one to be able to work.

the device is aV2.0+EDR bluetooth USB adapter. model ES-050 i think.

  1. well i got windows vista 2 and i have had no problems and is gr8 for just sending a couple of things :)  when i pt the dongle in the usb f the pc at the bottom right where it has the time volume etc... well there, there sjould be the bluetooth sign which looks a bit like 2 sideways triangles next tpo eac other, not a good description though, and it is also on a blue blackground. and then if u right click on it it will come up with send a file, recieve a file etc... and depending which 1 u want u click on it (i never used the disc it made my pc crash :(  ) hope that helps u can also move the mouse on the pc using ur phone by going in entertainment and it will say remote and depending on where u move the arrows on ur phone it will move the mouse

( when sending a file from fone to pc u have to right click on the blueooth simple at the bottom of the pc and press recieve file otherwise the phone wont find it )

    hope that helps!

  2. Bit strange no Disk is included when you bought that Bluetooth,

Go to Control Panel/Device Manager/ see if there is a unknown device connected then try to update on the web.
