How can you covert carbon dioxide into an efficient energy to power machines etc without causing damage to our atmosphere and earth? Is there a way that we can channel the pollution into a much more efficient place?

  1. Yes, plant life is the only way of doing this without hogging energy thats better used someplace else.

  2. Are you asking about sequestering technologies?

A great deal of effort is going into that here in Texas, with the idea that we could pump the carbon dioxide down into wells to "store" pretty much the same way the natural gas is held there, now.  I don't know the technicalities of the process, but I think

"Futuregen" was a plan being researched for sequestered carbon from an electrical generation plant.

Edit - on re-reading the question, I think you are asking how much energy potential there is in carbon dioxide....not much.

CO2 is what's left after the chemical energy is taken out of a hydrocarbon.

  3. Do you mean like smoking cigarettes?

  4. The simple answer is grow more plants.

  5. AFFORESTATION AND GROWTH OF MORE TREES.. This leads to reduction in the co2 content in the atmosphere...
