How to use drop lines for cats??

my friend said he uses drop lines for catfish and catches alot, he gave me a pack of six thats never been used so how do i use them

I like to bait them with live goldfish. They can be tied off to strong limbs overhanging the lake or to jugs (milk jugs, two litter coke bottles etc.) with a heavy weight at the bottom of the line 5 to 8 oz. Try different bait to see what they are bitting on. Live bait has always worked for me. Good luck.

"critter" has it, and you can use them as a hand drop line... you do not tie to anything, use your hand as you would a rod and reel
