I have to copy a formula from the top row to the rows below but i am not able to do that. it simply copies the same data in the lower rows. what to do.

eg. A1,B1,C1,D1,E1,F1 have a formula that copies data from A1,B1,C1,D1,E1,F1 respectively from another excel file. but now i want to have the same formula being copied to A2,B2,C2,D2,E2 so that it copies the data from A2,B2,C2,D2,E2 of another cell.

Can I do it in a simple way instead of entering a formula in each and every cell......

  1. Click on the cell you want the new formula in, type in = , go to the spreadsheet you want to copy the formula from, click on the cell and hit enter. To copy it down, click on the cell and click, and drag the little black square on the bottom right of the activated cell.
