How to use hair oil?

My hair is thinning and I've been told to use hair oil ti help it grow. That's fine but...my mum says that I shoul only wash my hair once a week and keep the oil in till the next wash. Is this right? Cos my hair will be greasy till the next wash and I have school so people will say things. How should hair oil be used? Becasue I read on a website that it shouldn't be kept in. Should it?

it depends on each brand whether you should leave it in or not, so i would ask someone at the store to help you out with that.

i would wash your hair normally, then put a bit on your hands and rub your hands together then run it through your towel-dried hair, and then leave it to dry naturally.

that way by the time your hair dries, the oil would have soaked into your hair and hydrate your hair, etc.

Its good that u used oil in ur hair for a one week, but this will be bad for your hair. Always use oil before one hour of washing ur hair. once  in a month ucan use ligth warm oil in ur hair always use in route of hair.
