How much does a single ticket cost, just for Line C? Also how much does a day pass cost and how do I acctually purchase a ticket?

  1. There is no Line C.

    Line C won't be completed until 2012-2015 (and given that this is Italy, it's more likely to be 2020).

    It works just any other Metro in the world. You buy your ticket from a conveinence store/newsstand or the automated machines at the station. You put the ticket into the gate (or valiadate it with a time stamp machine if there is no gate), you retrieve the ticket, and you walk through to the platform.

    The day pass in Rome is 4,00 Euros (and covers all buses, trams, and metros in the city).

    The three-day pass is a better deal

    at 11,00 Euros because it also includes the regional trains and buses (which you can use to get to the ancient port of Ostia, and the Emperor Hadrian's villa in Tivoli).
