How to use usb cable as internet modem! help fast?

Question

well i have a usb cord to hook up to the comp to my phone. but how does it get reqonized as the modem or something! i need internet on my comp fast.

i use to have a pc card but it doesn't fit with new laptops

Well, The Modem Is a Box for the internet. It has about 6 lights on it. To connect the modem to your computer, there is a special wire that you place in the modem then to your computer. Then there is another black wire which connects ot the plug, then another why that connects to the cable. So I owuldn't say it technically connects to your phone, but if you do all that, and it still doesn't work, see if your computer is the same company as your phone. If it is, call you company and maybe they can have a technician come to your home and fix it right away for you.

well first off you have to get the drivers for your phone from your carrier (on there website) and second you have to make sure you have "phone as modem" on your phone plan its typically about $35
