  1. a trip to the laundry mat. they have the only machines large enough to handle one.

I have one too, I love the silly thing, it is however a few yrs old and the stuffing tends to bunch up at the corners and around the edge a bit.

I get some large safety pins, and pin the corners only during the wash cycle then take out before drying.

after drying just straighten out the stuffing a bit, and that's it. done.

  2. lol i just washed mine this morning. i do this ALLL the time, just go to a regular coin laundry and put it in the big washers, i think its like a 3 load or something. and put about 2 caps of  laundry soap. and its better to use fabric softener in the rinse cycle instead of the little sheet things in the dryer. i use snuggle ..the pink one :]

    smells good

    lol

    :]

  3. You either have to take it the the laundry-mat and use an over sized washer or to the cleaners and ask them to launder it for you. If the blanket has down filling you are not supposed to put it in a washer, you will have to buy a duvet for it and clean the duvet regularly.

  4. I have some heirloom quilts from my great-granny. I wash em by hand in the tub and then hang out to dry.

  5. I just did this a few weeks ago.  Take your new comforter to the coin laundry and they have real big washers there and its works great , it doesn't wrinkle or anything, it only took me about 30 minutes to do it.

  6. The best thing to do is to take it to the dry cleaners.

  7. Depending on the size of your washer you may be able to tackle washing it in your own washer/dryer. I have two different comforters. The one is more light weight so, I was able to wash it in my own washer. The other is thicker and I had to go to the laundry mat to do it. The dry cleaners could do it but, it may be kind of pricey. I too have a king size and this from my own personal experience. I hope I helped. good luck.

  8. Take it to the laudromat and wash it like normal.....when you put it in the dryer, place one or two tennis balls in the dryer with it.  The tennis balls will pound the filling out so that the comforter will come out flat.

  9. Why wash it if you bought it new? That's like washing new underwear. What's the point?
